When SlotOwl helps most
- Peak summer / holiday season. US passport agencies routinely have zero appointments for weeks at a stretch in May-August. Slots open in unpredictable batches when other people cancel.

FAQ
Will the US passport agency block this?
No reasonable risk. SlotOwl polls from your own browser at an interval you choose from presets (about two minutes minimum in beta), indistinguishable from someone revisiting the page manually. Travel.State.Gov is not as aggressive about anti-automation as the visa portals are.
Do I need to keep my laptop open the whole time?
While monitoring, yes — Chrome's `chrome.power` API can keep your display from sleeping while a workflow is active. Alerts are desktop notifications on the Chrome profile doing the monitoring; keep that machine awake and logged into the portal.
Can I use this for child passport applications?
Yes — same portal, same workflow. SlotOwl just monitors the schedule page; it doesn't differentiate between application types. You filter by category in the portal itself.
